Just learned about two more AI features in SLS. 

Learning Assistant 

Tried a very simple one. Wished that it will accept more than 5 pages pdf.

Create a new activity and select Interactive followed by Learning Asistant 1 to 1 (Beta)

You can choose the role which you want the AI to play and I have selected learning facilitator.  

Idea generator, learning facilitator, paragraph planner, perspective builder, research assistant and role play. 

Logged into my account as a student and tried out the learning assistant. Just wondering how different this will be from CHATGPT.

Pros

1. Safe platform

2. Limit number of interaction

3. Can edit the prompt

4. Can see all the students conversation and AI can analyse the common thread. 

5. You can save the responses too.

I tried that with our school's learning companion and I would say I preferred our school's AI responses.

Use ChatGPT to create the figurines. 

The prompt is as follows. 

Please create a 3D Chibi Complex box, a doll collection and display box from the photo uploaded. Created the following with the same prompt but different results as I asked for cursive font in the second picture. Image uploaded was from with the Chinese costume taken in Bangkok Shudaxia June 2025. Rather unexpected with the variations from Germini. I can only say Germini is very artistic too. 

Humanities Collective

Uploaded the photo of the girl and boy from school handbook in ChatGPT.

Keyed in the prompt:

Create two 3D cartoon-style action figures as if it's displayed inside a transparent plastic blister packaging. The figures should be based on the photo, with a relaxed pose and a friendly smile. On the bottom part of the packaging, include large text that says:

"Humanities Collective" and below it: "Edgefield Secondary School"

Add some job-related accessories next to the figure, like a globe, a History book, a Geography book and a Social Studies book.  Step 1: Open ChatGPT and you can see Canva in the side menu.

Step 2: Enter your prompt to generate a design. A few will be generated for you to choose from. 

Step 3:  You can then click on the design that you like and it will be opened in Canva and you can edit it. 

 

Data Assistant in SLS

Data Assistant, the AI analysis in ITT function is already integrated. Simple to use to filter the responses. AI will generate the analyse but the downside is it cannot be saved so I had to screenshot.

 It is simple to use - just click on the icon which I circled here. Then type in what you want AI to filter and analyse. 

You can click the 3 dots on the right of the students name and select to send the feedback to them.
